BANC Unbuttoned

When Tracey and I took on the challenge of raising $5 Million (see previous post) we were pleasantly surprised by the volume of support we have received. So many great friends, neighbours, companies and musicians have offered support.

On October 23rd we will be hosting a fundraising event at Hotel Arts (thanks Fraser and Mark) with a legendary band named BANC. There is no need to buy tickets, instead just register at BANC Unbuttoned and bring an envelope with a donation. Whatever you can afford is appreciated.

BANC is a charity-focused band of world-class singers and musicians led by our pal Jim Carter that has raised over $3.3M over the last four years through its charity concerts and live auction events. BANC’s goal is to raise over $10M for charity by 2021/22. Learn more about BANC here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FJ3whIxJEw&feature=youtu.be

On October 23rd, BANC’s roster will be Sass Jordan, Ellis Hall (Tower of Power), Jim Carter, Erin Carter, Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, The Guess Who), Derek Sharp and Will Evankovich (The Guess Who), Pat Steward (Bryan Adams, The Odds) and producer Steve Rokosh. They’re all in it for the charity, the music and the fun.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and BANC will hit the stage at 8 p.m. in the Spectrum Ballroom at Hotel Arts. There will be light refreshments served as well as a cash bar serving up tasty Village Brewery Beer & Cider among other drinks.

Philanthropy can be fun and BANC is the right crew to turn the dial up to 11 for a good time and a worthwhile cause.

Hope to see you there with a big smile and an envelope in hand.

Oh, and if you cannot attend on the 23rd but still want to support you can donate at —> University of Calgary.

Thank you.

Love Tracey, Jim, Jack and Amanda
