I made myself a promise to average at least 5km per day in 2020.
I thought it was going to be easy till the -28 Celsius came along.
I also thought an average of 5km would be easily attainable as I do a long walk most every day. Most times with someone and occasionally I walk alone in my thoughts.
So, when I looked at my history for the last three years I realized the math is way tougher than I thought cause you have to include those days when you cannot put in the steps. Like when in the hospital or when you are feeling really crummy.
Here are the last three years since I started measuring distance:
This data is going to drive me to reach an average of 5km at the end of each month and a monthly average of 5km by December 31, 2020.
I’m going to have to play the numbers game and stack days in the event I’m back in the hospital. I think I’ve started off well - especially January 4th.
What’s also interesting is that this is my quest, five years ago I would have felt a daily 5km run was in order.
But times change and I gotta change with the times.
