On Wednesday night we raised $121,500.33 that will go towards creating a Research Chair in Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology at the Cummings School of Medicine at the University of Calgary.
Actually I kinda feel like I am appropriating the ‘we’ in this case as the majority of the work was done and led by my pal Fraser. He and JimCo brought together a brilliant team of friends to pull of the planning and execution of this event in a month.
Tracey and I are humbled. Sincerely humbled.
It’s dangerous to name and attempt to thank people as you will inevitably forget someone, so I will simply say thank you to the organizers, donators and guests who collectively launched this $5 million campaign in such a beautiful way.
Like I said, we are humbled.
