Imaginary Gratitude

Yesterday Tracey and I were honoured with the funds raised from the Best of Calgary’s presentation of the George Stephenson Horse Races at the St Louis Hotel.

For those of you that haven’t been to these races they were started over 20+ years ago on a lark by George Stephenson. He called imaginary horse races while people cheered on their selected horses. Get it. No horses but lots of betting.

It’s loud, raucous and quite hilarious and well worth attending if we repeat it in 2020.

This super fun event raised another $1,600 towards the Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology Research Chair. But more importantly it opened the eyes and hearts of the 130 attendees.
