JIM BUTTON,
TELLING TALES.

Antibiotics

While sitting on a bench at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre I decided that I best write another update; after all the setting here is so beautiful I figured I’d take the time in the sun to catch you up on the last week or so.

A lot of pain and discomfort had been coming from my abdomen, as I discussed in my last post, and the lab results led us to the conclusion that I was dealing with another infection. My liver enzymes were high.

These infections come from the pancreatic area as there is a meddlesome tumour there that has kept me on my toes and on my back quite a bit over the last three years.

Having been taking the antibiotics for almost ten days I can report that pain, gas and discomfort have certainly been reduced. Of course they have been replaced with diahhrea and nausea from the two antibiotic prescription.

I am sitting here at the hospital as I have just given a blood sample in preparation for a meeting with the Oncologist tomorrow to discuss the quarterly CT scan I took on Friday.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings as I suspect something else is up. For now I’m going to take in the sounds of leaves falling and the warmth on my face.
