Fatigue

The last week has been tough on me physically. Tracey figures a large part of it was due to pushing myself a bit too hard (played a game of tennis, four rounds of golf, albeit 9 holes and a few more activities along the way) and am not listening to my body.

As usual I’m sure she’s right.

It’s pretty standard that when I feel good I try to be active. But it’s tough when you are so tired you want to go back to bed right after breakfast. Fatigue is a big factor in how I feel these days and I’d normally listen to my body and rest. But if I lay down every time I was fatigued I’d never do anything.

It’s been about 10 days of abdominal pain and cramps, gas build up, fatigue and serious heartburn and it’s not going away. Yes I played golf and tennis with these symptoms but if I didn’t I’d be lying on my back sleeping.

Somewhere in-between is a good balance, and I’ve been resting and sleeping non-stop for the last few days. As a matter of fact other than a walk with Tracey I slept 17 of the last 24 hours.

Not sure what is going on but had blood tests and blood cultures taken on Friday. Wondering if there is another infection brewing, perhaps gall stones again.

Will chat with Dr. R tomorrow but in meantime I’ll chill for the rest of the day.

Wish I was a kid again so I could sit on a couch playing video games all day…at least then I’d feel like I was saving the world.
