JIM BUTTON,
TELLING TALES.

Sigh

Just found out that one of my walking partners passed away from cancer. He was a real fighter and put up such a valiant effort right to the end.

In our walks I know I was there to be the guide, the one that was giving experienced advice, but I often found myself marvelling at his attitude and tenacity. Scott inspired me more than I shared with him, I wish I could tell him now.

At the end of his journey he availed himself of MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying) and while it’s a very difficult path I deeply respect him for making such a difficult decision.

As always the saddest part is that he left behind his lovely and ever supportive wife Shannon and their lovely kids. I know he loved them very much.

Rest In Peace my friend. May we walk again.
