JIM BUTTON,
TELLING TALES.

2’fer

Had my upper endoscopy on Thursday, no major information to share other than we can see some debris at the bilary stent.

So tomorrow (Friday) I am undergoing a full ERCP to get in there and hopefully clean out the stent.

Want to thank Tracey for taking such good care of me again and again. I love her so much.

UPDATE: Saturday, Oct 16

Surgery went well, but…

The GI Doc felt it went well, they were able to clean out much of the stent but…a coil from the surgery I had back in 2019 (to stop the tumour from bleeding) has migrated to the top of the stent.

So what does this mean?

I have to wait and see how I feel over the next while and see if I can manage. If for some reason something gunks up or migrates further there is really only two options. Go back in and clean as much as they can with the coil interfering or try another tact which is extremely painful and not guaranteed.

I’ve also been told I may just have to accept the ongoing pain, which I can do, but what I am not sure I can handle is the gas that I build up and ruin rooms with.

May be buying Tracey a lot of candles soon.

Sigh
